Petit Juror message for October 1, 2024.
All Petit Jurors are required to report to the Courthouse at 9 am. I would like you to please leave all purses and bags in your vehicles prior to entry into the Courthouse (unless needed for health issues). Cellphones are permissible, but please silence the ringers. After entering the courthouse, please proceed to Courtroom A which is on the second floor.

ATTENTION: Our Jury Trials are only on selected Tuesday during regular business hours. You are usually required to report to the Jersey County Courthouse, Courtroom A at 9 am. Jurors are notified months in advance. You will never have to meet anyone at the court house after regular business hours.
Someone has been approaching people to come to the court house for Jury Duty after Business Hours. This is a SCAM.

ATTENTION: Cell phones are now permitted in the Courthouse. However, I am asking you to please silence all notification ALARMS. Please keep all distractions out of the courtroom. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Jersey County Clerk’s Office is located in the Government Building, which is separate from the courthouse. The County Clerk’s office provides services including but not limited to:
- Voter Registration
- Early Voting
- County Election Officer
- County Board Records
- Property Records
- Birth Certificates
- Death Certificates
- Marriage License
