Gary Krueger

County Board Chairman – Jersey County Board District 4

Gary Krueger was born in Alton, Illinois and is a returning member of the Jersey County Board having served as the Vice Chairman.  Mr. Krueger is a graduate of Jerseyville High School and attended Western Illinois University for one semester.  Gary is retired from the Illinois Department of transportation in addition to being a lifelong farmer.  Gary is a Mississippi Township Trustee and sits on the Jersey County Board of Review.  Mr. Krueger has served as Jersey County Republican Committee Chairman as well as a member of the Jersey County Rural Water Board and the Soil and Water Board.  Gary was a past member of the Elks and the Moose.  Gary and his wife, Rhonda, have 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Sheila Beers

Jersey County Board District 4

Sheila Beers was born in Doniphan Missouri. Mrs. Beers is a graduate of Bunker Hill High School and the attended Alvarieta’s College of Cosmetology in Edwardsville, Illinois and Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois. Sheila works as a hairstylist and is a member of the Cornerstone Ministries Church in Benld, Illinois. Mrs. Beers has worked in humanitarian efforts both overseas and here in the United States. Sheila and her husband, Doug, have four children, and is looking forward to learning all she can to better serve the community.

David Crone

Jersey County Board District 1

David Crone was born in Alton IL and is a graduate of Jersey Community High School. David retired after 20 plus years of working for the Illinois Department of Conservation and the Department of Transportation. In addition, David has worked in farming most of his life and continues to do so as well as mowing yards. Mr. Crone currently serves on the Jersey County Board of Review and is a life long member of the Jersey County Farm Bureau. David is also a member of the Jerseyville FFA Alumni, the Jersey County Historical Society, the NRA, the NTA, and the Jersey-English-Mississippi Fire Protection Board. Mr. Crone volunteers at the Salvation Army along with the Jersey Co. Historical Society, and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Jerseyville. David and his wife Beverly have four children, eleven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Kenneth Grizzle

Jersey County Board District 1

Kenneth Grizzle was born in Alton, Illinois and grew up in the Jerseyville/Godfrey area. Kenny is a graduate of Alton Senior High School and attended Ranken Technical College. Ken is now retired from his work as an Instrumentation and Electrical Equipment Technician. Mr. Grizzle is a member of Jerseyville Aviation and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Kenny is a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Godfrey, Illinois and works with Save Our Seniors and the Personal Home Services Ministry. Ken is the father of three grown children, and is a Constitutionalist having been born on Constitution Day, Sept 17th.

Jarrod Hayes

Jersey County Board District 1

Jarrod Hayes was born in St. Charles, Missouri and moved to Jerseyville at the age of one and has lived here ever since. Jarrod is a graduate of Jersey Community High School and attended Ranken Technical College. In addition to serving on the County board, Mr. Hayes serves as Chairman of the Jersey County IL Republican Committee. Jarrod has one daughter.

Jared Mills

Jersey County Board District 2

Jared Mills has been a resident of Jersey County for 30 years.  After graduating from high school, he attended Lewis and Clark Community College.  Mr. Mills is a Project Manager for the U-Haul Holdings Company.  Jared is a member of the Jersey County Republicans and is also a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Alton, IL.  Mr. Mills volunteers as a coach for Jerseyville Park and Recreation.  Jared has been married to his wife, Erin, for eleven years and the have a son and a daughter.

Martin “Marty” Ward

Jersey County Board District 2

Martin “Marty” Ward was born in Jerseyville and is a graduate of Jersey Community High School. Marty attended the University of Illinois C-U and studied Industrial Engineering. Mr. Ward worked for Maadanay Yehiam Inc. and held the position of C.O.O. for Abeles & Heymann LLC.  Marty is an Ainad Temple Shriner, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a past president of the Illinois Association of Meat Processors.  Mr. Ward volunteers as a Sunday School Teacher, serving community meals, and is Treasurer of the Jersey County Republican Central Committee.  He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Jerseyville.  Marty has three stepchildren with his wife, Betty.  Mr. Ward “Thanks the voters of Jersey County for the opportunity to serve them as a County Board Member”.

Kara Ontis

Jersey County Board District 3

Kara Ontis was born in Jerseyville, Illinois and grew up in the Jersey/Greene County area. Kara is a graduate of Carrollton High School and is currently pursuing a degree in Business. Ms. Ontis works for Farmer’s State Bank as an Ag/Commercial Loan Officer and is a member of the Eldred Baptist Church. In addition to the County Board, Kara serves the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Jerseyville. She and her husband, Kevin have two daughters.
