WELCOME TO JERSEY COUNTY

Located to the north of St. Louis on US 67, Jersey County covers over 240,000 acres and is predominately rural. Jerseyville, the county seat, is the largest municipality and offers shopping, restaurants, recreation, and a friendly atmosphere for visitors. Grafton, a tourist town along the river, is the second largest municipality and is located on Illinois 100, part of the National Scenic Byway called The Great River Road. The Mississippi River delineates the southern edge of the county and the Illinois River along much of the western edge. The bluffs of Pere Marquette State Park overlook the confluence of the Mississippi, Illinois, and Missouri Rivers.

  • To gather documentation and strengthen the appeal for federal assistance following the storm & flooding event in late July, an additional survey for residents and business owners has been developed by IEMA-OHS.What Information Should I Submit?  We are seeking the following information to support the appeal for federal assistance: Photos of damage, Documentation of alternative housing needs, Reports of illness or health impacts, Mold remediation efforts, Replacement of furnaces, water heaters, or major appliances, Any other relevant information regarding damage or ongoing needs .To submit a survey, please visit the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMAOHS) website: https://iemaohs.illinois.gov/recovery  Please submit your survey by November 7, 2025.

In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504. The law requires IMRF to post certain employer cost and participation information on its website. IMRF will update these reports annually.
